HGA | Upskilling and facilitating growth among aspiring farmers since 2017.
Our Purpose
HGA aims to address unemployment and food insecurity in our region by upskilling and facilitating growth among aspiring farmers. This is achieved through our in-service training programme for students of agriculture (HGA Learn) which seeks to get more young graduates into the workforce and through our food security programme (HGA Grow) which provides mentorship and support to rural households who wish to grow their own food.
One out of five South Africans were affected by moderate to severe food insecurity in 2022.

The unemployment rate in South Africa for those aged 25 – 34 = 42 %. It is 22 % for graduates within this same age group.
