HGA Grow update

HGA was invited to make a presentation at the uMkhomazi Conservation Agriculture Farmer’s Day held in Impendle in March, organised by the Institute for Natural Resources in collaboration with Umgeni Water. This provided a good opportunity to engage with other relevant stakeholders and afforded our HGA Grow student, Bongekile Mngxadi the opportunity to learn about farming practices taking place elsewhere in our district.

Meanwhile, the Centocow pilot site has managed to sell and donate all of the produce from the first round of planting, with sales being made locally and to the Underberg Spar and donations made to the Clouds of Hope Orphanage in Underberg and a creche in the Centocow area.
