Student field trip to Scientific Roets near Kokstad - July 2019

A field trip to Scientific Roets near Kokstad was arranged for our students based on farms in that area. Scientific Roets is a business incubator for young entrepreneurs in the agri-business sector and therefore a great place for our students to be inspired and get a sense of the range of career paths that exist in the agricultural space. 

The organisation also specialises in training and the development of training material and are one of few service providers to be considered an institute of excellence by AgriSETA. They also concentrate on agricultural and rural enterprise development and so there is a great deal we can gain from them with regards to progressing our students once they have completed our programme and also identifying inventive solutions to the challenge of market access that upcoming farmers face.
